Monlau Repsol Technical School held the first automobile test 2014 on Calafat circuit. Experience has allowed the second-year students of Mechanical Competition Motorsports implement their theoretical knowledge and verify the operation of the cars on track developed by them in the center of Barcelona, under the supervision of their teachers.
The day has been very intense and has enabled students Monlau Repsol Technical School for a few hours to feel authentic racing mechanics . His mission, putting both cars on track Formula Renault Tatuus ( equipped with a 1.6 ) mounted by them during the course. The test has also allowed live a mock mechanical Grand Prix , with his usual pit stops to change tires , refuel and try different set- up changes. In addition, students have the opportunity to practice data acquisition looking for the best possible performance in vehicles. Meanwhile, students of initiation have also had their first contact in a circuit and were able to follow at first hand the work of their companions in boxes and pitlane . In all, the test brought together a total of 45 students.
“The aim of the day was put in track two vehicles Tatuus Formula 1.6, the students have completely revised during classes ‘ resolvent practices ‘ (chassis , gearbox , etc. . ).
